Sasquatch chatter at Bloom Lake? Tillamook State Forest, Oregon - 2021

Bloom Lake has been a hotspot for my family the last twenty years.

My Grandfather told me stories from his days logging the area. Large creatures peeking from behind trees at them during the 60’s and 70’s.

Hide Behinds is what they called them. They’d hide behind a tree and grab you when your back was turned.

I’m one of the few outdoorsman in my family, I have spent a lot of time in this area since I was 18 hoping to have my own encounter. I was suicidal and had a hope one of these creatures would kill me while I was alone. I’m out of that phase in my life and have a love for life now.

I have heard vocalizations in the area, very similar to the Sierra Sounds by Ron Morehead.

Almost every interaction I have had has been near where the snow level ends and green grass appears. Usually I’m in the area from January through May.

I’m a person who enjoys snow camping. Less people more animals. It’s nice.
